I received the very first issue of American Girl Magazine when I was nine, and waited impatiently for each issue up through high school when first niece was old enough to be interested in it. I now buy a subscription for each of my three nieces and my one cousin for Christmas each year, and I enjoy reading it with them, as I remember my mother doing with me! This mag has wonderful helpful, level headed advice, fun activities, and great stories about the American Girl Dolls as well as stories from independent writers. It features interesting history lessons relating back to the stories and interesting articles about real girls all over the country. I cannot stress how highly I recommend this magazine to any girl 8 to13. It's one of the great high points of my childhood and I wish everyone would share it with a girl they love.

I've subscribed to American Girl since I was eight, and everytime I finished an issue, i would close it and give a disappointed sigh. Now I am smart enough to cancel my subscription. There were to many pictures, and it doesn't give you good advice. It doesn't help you with anything. I would recommend it to a five year old girl who loves bright colors.

My 7 and 9 year old daughters love this magazine and spent their own money to buy the subscription. They devour it when it comes and re-read it over and over. They like the craft ideas and the cute posters that come in the issues.

My 10-year old daughter and I love reading American Girl at night. We take turns reading stories, taking surveys and doing the craft ideas. It's much better than sitting in front of a computer or TV.

American Girl magazine is an exciting magazine for all girls. There are cool contests to enter, such as the super girls contest(cool super heroes were entered.) There are also interesting stories about girls and there families that might have some kind of trouble or disease. I really think you should get this magazine!

    Best Girl Magazine Ever

    By Girlygirl101

I have had lots of magazines for adults, teens, kids, and American Girl magazine is one of the best. I love the advice, there are no ads and they have the cutest posters. And parents, they never give advice on boys! It's perfect! I've been subscribing for almost 5 years and I'm still satisfied.

    American Girl Magazine Subscription Review

Hi. I’m Jesse. Being a mom has taught me a lot—mainly, that kids, especially girls, are growing up way too fast these days. Between the Internet, Facebook, smartphones and the low-slung skinny jeans in kids’ sizes, we parents are fighting a somewhat losing battle against “growing up way too fast.”

But there are beacons in the night, things to help keep our little girls stay innocent a bit longer. One of them is the sweet, wholesome American Girl magazine, which offers the goodness of making homemade candy monsters for Halloween and how to handle problems at school. These are the things little girls and tweens actually want to talk about—well, that and boys.

Besides featuring “25 ways to transform a t-shirt,” American Girl magazine also celebrates the writing of its readers, even sponsoring fiction contests for young girls. And while you might be begging your girl to get off the computer and to go get some fresh air outside, take comfort in knowing this magazine will make exercise seem a whole lot cooler than you ever could, Mom.

The thing is all of our girls are growing up; we’re just trying to make sure they don’t grow up too fast. Boys can wait and will come and go, but chocolate and candy monsters will serve a girl well for a lifetime.

Thanks for taking a look at the current American Girl magazine subscription deals at Magazines.com. Be sure to give us a call at 1-800-MAGAZINES if there’s anything we can do to help.
