I subscribed to this newsletter for years, and unintentionally let it lapse. I'm resubscribing because nothing else comes close to covering so many subjects (health, investing, tax advice, home maintenance, shopping, +, +, +) so succinctly OR with such timely, late-breaking news. It's like having your own personal editor reviewing all the latest trade journals and papers as soon as they're published, and distilling the data into short, clear summaries. And it's objective; advice is culled from experts and trusted professionals in their respective fields. Results of clinical trials that suggest health benefits or warnings contain references to the actual published results, without dramatic staging. And their data often precedes the same news hitting the mainstream media by a month or two--or more. I read each weekly edition, cover-to-cover, in about 1/2 hour, but many years considering, discussing, practicing, and passing on to others what I've read. It's been my best source of real-world-smarts.

This is a great newsletter with tons of little detail info as well as longer researched articles by experts. The only problem is that it generates ENDLESS amounts of other junk mail, mostly offers for other newsletters they publish. There is no way to stop it and I got tired of finding my mailbox stuffed with phony newsletter looking offers to sign up for more. If there was any way to just get Bottom Line Personal and stop the rest, I would recommend it to everyone!! But the extra junk mail isn't worth it.

Good for all ages! I enjoy it (at 46) and my 70 something parents love it too!
Special edition, Winter 2012, page 3: ridiculous to assume a Roth IRA would ever yield 10% (ten percent!) interest! I can't take this article serious and that reflects on the entire magazine.
Doesn't take long to get thru and contains valuable info in many fields.
I have subscribed to this magazine for 15 years and it has never disappointed me. It gives timely advice in a number of areas and sites references if you desire additional information. It is published twice a month and I read every issue as soon as I receive it. One of the few publications I have given as gifts.
Promises to refund cost if requested cancelation in first year. Requested a cancelation but the magazine keeps coming and I haven't got my money back.
Every issue of Bottom Line/Personal has been of value! Excellent references on topics very interested: finances, relationships, traveling, and etc.!
Bottom Line/Personal is a very good magazine. Interesting and helpful information are presented on a wide variety of topics in a very readable manner.
Bottom Line/Personal is pricey, but is published twice a month and pays for itself in the first six months of the subscription. It provides tips and information in hundreds of areas from financial to health and safety news. One of the few things I spend money on each year that I fell pays me back.
Bottom Line/Personal newsletter covers a wide range of topics from health tips to personal finance. It has proved very useful.
Despite my lower income status, I have renewed Bottom Line/Personal magazine year after year. Its pithy articles always inform me of some topic relevant to my needs and interests because of the broad spectrum of issues which it addresses. Several times I have learned something I needed to know about auto maintenance and repair from a few sentences in Bottom Line. Links to computer web sites have been helpful, as has information on current medical issues. This is one magazine that I usually read almost cover to cover. I recommend that anyone give it a fair trial by subscribing to it for a full year before making a decision about its value. Keep up the good work, Bottom Line editors!
