Where to begin. Carpe Articulum Literary Review magazine is the best of its kind on the market. The stories and poetry are fantastic. The interviews are polished and well conducted. The quality of the magazine itself surpasses all other periodicals out there. This magazine is meant to be displayed on a coffee table. I am particularly impressed with the contests provided by the magazine to aspiring authors and photographers. I would consider it an honor to have my work displayed in this magazine! I cannot praise this Review enough. It is worth every penny.
I have subscribed to lots of literary reviews over the years. I have never seen a review like Carpe Articulum Literary Review. It is full color, which if you have ever read lit reviews, they never have money enough for color, so that was impressive. They have a lot of contributors who send in photos and even run a contest from the best ones. A lot of it is nature photography but not all. The covers are high gloss and the magazine is the heaviest one I have ever had. The stories are amazing. Some are incredibly inspirational, and others will bring you to tears. But the pics are just wild. I can never see anyone throwing this magazine away. It just doesn't have that temporary, disposable feel. Even the ads are beautiful and relevant. Nothing with soda pop companies, only writing symposiums, universities who offer writing courses and books like Jodi Picoult's new one and Nicholas Sparks' books. Other than what I already mentioned, the coolest thing about this magazine (which feels more like a book) is that there are HUGE stars in it every issue. That is something one never sees in the lit world of magazines. Even the really big magazines like Writer's Digest rarely get anyone with any name and if they do, it is once a year. In this magazine, there are like three in every issue. It's neat to see big names caring about literary arts genres.
