About The Weekly Standard

First published in 1995, the magazine is comprised of timely articles and features on politics and elections; defense and foreign policy; domestic policy and the courts; books, art, and culture.

Each issue of The Weekly Standard covers the political developments of the day, approaching them with an intellectual curiosity and thorough examination of the toughest issues. Politically conservative, the magazine delivers its news from a sophisticated perspective, but in its signature voice of boldness and wit.

The magazine's content appeals to readers who are interested in or engaged in the political process. Led by editors Bill Kristol and Fred Barnes, a team of knowledgeable contributors provide The Weekly Standard's thought-provoking opinion and engaging editorial found in every issue.

Throughout the year, The Weekly Standard may publish several special issues or sections devoted to "Congressional Agenda," "Health Care," "Energy Policy," "Defense Policy," "Summer Travel," "Summer Books," "Power Dining," "Winter Travel," "Holiday Books," and "Holiday Gift Guide."

Learning a lot from Weekly Standard

By Lee

from California

We both enjoy the weekly standard, it's good to see what other conservatives are thinking and saying since I live in a non-conservative state. No liberal Spin here! Its current, and enjoy that there is no liberal media spin. It's the REAL NEWS no spin it's one of the first magazines we read in our home!

The Weekly Standard magazine subscription

By robertrebor

from Bangor, ME 04401

I have again, received the latest edition: March 28,2011, on April 5, 2011. That's 8 days late. Perhaps, I should buy my copy off the news-stand, where it would have been available, by April 24, 2011.

Excellent Conservative News without the Spin

By Bfdboston

from Boston, Ma

If you want the real news without the liberal spin then I highly recommend The Weekly Standard. This magazine even balances out media liberal bias for the most partisans on left and right! A must subscribe!

Excellent Reporting

By Charlie

from Oregon

I love The Weekly Standard, especially the in-depth reporting of what is happening in Washington. I feel they are very fair even though I would call the magazine conservative politically.
