About Cobblestone

Cobblestone magazine takes kids on a journey through history that is designed to excite their imaginations and bring the past to life. Dedicated to the history of early America, each issue of Cobblestone focuses on one particular subject, such as John Adams or the Battle of Gettysburg. Future historians will enjoy reading about important American events and places, from Colonial Williamsburg to famous battles of the Civil War to the Gold Rush to the Korean War.

Each of the magazine's nine annual issues contains several historical articles, as well as fun activities related to the culture of the times. Some of Cobblestone's regular sections include: "Mapping It," "Did You Know?," "Going Global," "Just for Fun," "Digging Deeper," "Brain Ticklers," and "Cartoon Connection."

Like other children's magazines published by The Cricket Magazine Group, Cobblestone accepts no advertising, so children can immerse themselves in learning about American history without additional distraction.

Great American History Magazine

By History Buff's' mom

from Mid-Ohio

Cobblestone magazine is a great magazine for history lovers and kids who balk at history alike. The topics are great and very in depth and it makes a fabulous addition to a home school magazine library collection. My only complaint is that the topics are so in-depth that it is only a one topic/edition magazine. That means that I better like the 9 topics set up for the year - but on the plus side the website does list those out in advance, so I can plan my history lessons around it if I like.
