I have been a subscriber of Country Living since its beginning in 1978 with the exception of a couple of years that it became too primitive for my liking. I have many, many back issues that I treasure and look forward to each new issue in my mailbox every month. In my opinion, it is the best magazine on the market today.... so much inspiration and beautiful details. A great buy for the current subscription rate!!!

I've subscribed to Country Living for years...stopped once when I was fed up with the same stuff month after month...and am at that point agian. Just got a "continuous service program" billing where they've sent a bill for $19.97 for another year's worth of "slipcovering flea market finds" and painting everything with "dirty white". ENOUGH...there's more to country than that...but they're in a rut. AND...I came to the Inernet site to see a subscription price of only $12???? Either price, I want something NEW, not the same tiree old thing.

Worst Country Magazine EVER

By CountryDweller

from Tennessee

WAY too many ads, some city person's notion of what country should look like. I live in the country in a country home and believe me, this magazine represents NOTHING of my life or the way we live. Absolutely pathetic. Cancelled my subscription and will never pick it up again.

I enjoy receiving this magazine. I like the simple suggestions for changing decor. The photos of furniture arrangements are appealing to me. Good articles for change of seasons.

country living

By linda

from savannah ga

colonial homes, country living, victoria all were great magazines. i too could not wait until they arrived. it was like a mini vacation.i have these magazines going back to the 70's. when my friends and i were building and decorating many people borrowed them. now my daughter and her friends are all asking to look at the old magazines.i must admit i have had to insist that they look at them in my house and i have a colored copier to make copies of pages.i lost too many of my treasured issues. can't say i blame them.colonial homes started putting many small pictures in their magazine and it just wasn't the same. it took away the feel that you were there.country living has cheapened their paper and it is very irritating to look at this book when the pages stick together from static cling. i an so sorry i will not be renewing this book.there are many more things on the internet now.

Country Living subscription

By CountryGal

from US

I love receiving this magazine each month in the mail. The pictures are lovely, and I enjoy that it branches out a bit beyond just decorating--into recipes, fashion, antiques, etc. A fun, creative read.

Use to be a fan

By Busy

from Northern California

When I started reading Country Living a few years ago I loved the ideas, tips and pictures. The last year or so it seems to be targeting a shabby chic or kitschy audience who has money to spare. For example, their finds are often over priced tacky items like a $60 stapler shaped like an animal. It is not worth my time to look at the magazine anymore and I canceled my subscription.

20 year subscriber

By Sal

from MIDWEST

I have been subscribing to Country Living for at least 20 years. I have always enjoyed reading it and love all the designs that are chosen for each issue. I also enjoy most editorials as well. My only beef about this magazine is ....back in the early 2000's the publisher change the texture of the pages. I know this sounds 'picky', but I like turning a page of magazine that has substance. Before this change 'Country Living' Magazine came across as a higher end publication, but obtainable at a reasonable subscription rate. Now it's pages are like 'Better Homes and Gardens' 'Family Circle', Women's Day, etc. It's a thinnner, cheaper feel of paper. I wish the publisher would return to the original format and page quality.
