Old-Fashioned Crafts

By Suzie

from Woodbine, GA

I don't want to insult Create & Decorate magazine. It is written very well. It has great photos, articles and step-by-step instructions. Best of all, every issue includes patterns. I save these patterns and use them for other crafts too. I can imagine these crafts being sold at a rural or historical location that tourists visit... a country store with a squeaky wooden floor. These items would be appealing in that setting. But in my home, these crafts would be completely out of place. It would look like clutter. These would be the 1st items to be thrown out when spring cleaning. I just wish it had more variety of styles.

Create & Decorate is an excellent craft magazine, especially if you like primitive style crafts! It has full-size patterns included. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed!

Best Crafting Magazine

By Snippy

from USA

I have subscribed to Create & Decorate since it's inception, and have rarely been disappointed in an issue. I'm a decorative painting and fabric artist, and I receive much inspiration from the magazine. Needlecraft, papercraft, painting, sewing, quilting, rug-hooking and needlepunch are some of the crafts included. Designers start to become your friends as you look for their new design in each issue. Some of the new designers are my friends, as it is easy to submit one of your own projects for publication. All in all, I heartily recommend this magazine to anyone interested in any handwork!
