I was brought up in a family where crocheting was a sit down quiet quality time. We talked and said what was on our minds, it was a very relaxing time for all of us. I am now in my 50's and have taught my daughters to crochet while we have had many enjoyable time together.
Crochet World magazine has everything a person could ask for from baby to adult clothes, to toys, rugs and dishcloths.I've been crocheting since kindergarten and I'm here to tell you(again)this magazine has everything!I have yet to keep something for myself.
The best thing about Crochet World magazine is that it doesn't intimidate the novice crocheter. There are some simple pieces along with more complex ones; plus some of the more basic ones (doilies and such) can form the foundation of larger pieces (like shawls, vests, throws, bedspreads, etc.). With the number of different patterns included each month, it's good value for the money!
Crochet World is mostly crochet for old-timers and is a boring magazine; patterns are mostly doilies and tea pot koozies. If you're looking for hip new stuff this is not the magazine for you. I gave all of my issues to my mom and she didn't care for them either.
I love your mag. there is always something that will catch my eye. the paterns are easy to understand and you have many quick projects. I just love the spiderweb & spider. I made many. and the long teddybear scarffs are darling. I made both,some of the webs, a little larger some tiny.and the scarffs a cat and a bat & of course, the bear. I had so much fun. Thank you.
