The reader tips are excellent and useful. The adventure stories are always entertaining and well written.
This magazine contains many interesting articles that sportsman/ women will enjoy reading.I cannot say enough about the photos. I really enjoy looking at all the awesome photographs contained in this magazine. This magazine is for both males and females. It is for hunters/fishermen and just outdoorsman/woman. There is something in it for all ages. It is for the experienced hunter and the inexperienced.
Pretty average sportsman coverage
I grew up reading Field & Stream, and in those days, it was more like fine literature. Now it is hard to tell it apart from Outdoor Life, and both seem designed to move product as much as to inform regarding hunting. More emphasis on the thrill of the hunt and less recommendations regarding what several hundred dollar purchase is necessary would get it back in touch with its roots and the pulse of hunters.
My husband loves receiving this magazine! I just don't love that magazines are on automatic renewal on this site.
I have received this mag for a number of years and have never been disappointed with the content. I am always eager to see it arrive in my mailbox, and usually read through it several times before the next one arrives.
Great informational magazine for hunters & fisherman.
It is well worth the money when purchased through Magazines.com, especially if you have a $5.00 coupon to use. It has good articles and tips for fishermen and hunters. The articles are easy reads and not full of a lot of technical jargon. Even a beginner or novice fisherman can enjoy this magazine.

There’s so much great reading available out there when it comes to magazines, but for anyone who loves the outdoors, you’d be hard pressed to find a more entertaining and resourceful magazine to subscribe to than Field & Stream.
There are plenty of reasons that this is a favorite read for so many sportsmen and women out there. Whether your passion is hunting, fishing, or if you’re just a general outdoor enthusiast, every issue of Field and Stream magazine is packed full of gear reviews, tips, and tactics to make you a better outdoorsman. The intelligent, well-written articles and features will keep you both entertained and informed.
Some of my favorite sections include the monthly Bullet Points with news and information from the experts, and the Reader Tips section where I always find some great new tips.
Now I’m not a hunter, but growing up in Minnesota I do love to fish and this definitely one of my top reads on the subject. Aside from the obvious things most fisherman love to read about with gear and tips, I love the featured pieces each month, especially the variation of locations and types of fishing the magazine covers. One month you may be reading about fly fishing for salmon from a kayak in Alaska, the next you’re caught up in a story about chasing catfish on the Mississippi, to then going after big stripers in the Rhode Island surf. It really covers the full spectrum of fishing styles and locations, which is something I genuinely appreciate and I’m sure the hunting enthusiast would say the same.
So if you’re looking for a great sportsman’s magazine you can’t go wrong with Field & Stream magazine, especially with the current subscription discounts and offers at Magazines.com.
