I got Highlights High Five for my granddaughter who is 7. She spends every Friday night with her Pappy and me. We sit together and read this magazine cover to cover. Every Friday when she walks in the door she asks if she got her new magazine in the mail yet. We make the recipes that we see (like lemonade) and play the games we see (like memory.) It's just wonderful to turn the TV off and spend true quality time together doing something we love.

Why is the magazine so high priced. you would think if your buying it for so many years, and a couple subscriptions each year. you would get a better deal. I don't know if i'm going to renew them. next year it's going to be 3 subscriptions. TOO MUCH MONEY,
I purchased the Highlight Five for my grandson for Xmas.
Highlights High Five magazine contains a variety of stories & activities my 3 1/2 yr old granddaughter loves. Contains stories to read with an adult, stories to encourage increased interaction with the child, a removable board game of some sort, regular each-issue activities....... Today the story that begins to teach some basic Spanish terms in each issue is a good move. All in all - excellent choices for the age level advertised.
My son has had a two year subscription to Highlights High Five magazine and has loved getting it. We read the stories,and he does all the puzzles, but now that he is almost 6 1/2 he is growing out of it and we received the last issue this month so perfect timing for me. The only thing was the price $35.00 is a lot of money to put out though I do keep them and will have him use them and then when he is done with them, I have a friends son who can use then next.
My children, aged 1-6 love Highlights High Five magazine. The stories are short & sweet, the recipes are fun to make.

My 38-month-old loves Highlights High Five magazine. She's been getting it since she was 30-months. When it comes, she immediately goes to the Hidden Pictures page.
As a teacher and a parent, I'm always looking for different things to stimulate my children. I like Highlights, but wish the price wasn't so high. Overall, my daughter likes the activities and readings. She especially likes the page where you have to look for the objects in the picture. Some of the pages I have to read the directions to her.
