I got this for my daughter many years ago. When she grew up and stopped reading it, I saved all the issues and now I use them with children I work with. A friend of mine recently borrowed two issues for a project her daughter was working on. This magazine is well worth the money and worth saving the issues. They get reused again and again.
My parents bought a subscription to Kids Discover magazine for me when I was a child, and I adored them. I knew every month what day the new issue would arrive, and would devour it page by page. I actually have been searching the Internet for this so I could buy a subscription for my daughter. You will not be disappointed if you buy this for a loved one. Very informative and interesting. Every month is a different topic that is covered, and there was never an issue I didn't love.
I am really impressed by Kids Discover magazine; it's not only interesting to my kids, but to me. In a recent issue, I learned some things about the Roman soldiers.
We've been subscribing to Kids Discover magazine for nearly a decade! We absolutely love it and so do our boys. It's like getting a condensed Unit Study with each issue. The boys read it front to back and then re-read it again. High quality paper that withstands the rigors of boys is an added plus.
My children grew up reading Kids Discover. We kept all the issues. When the magazine arrives, it is immediately read by the kids, the parents and the grandparents: not too short, not too long; later, it helps for school projects over and over. Sure you can research more about any subject, but it is a great and handy collection of facts for starting school papers, especially in social sciences. The illustrations are also great.
Each issue of Kids Discover covers a specific topic that is designed to be easily read by children but is also fun for adults to read.
Kids Discover is the best learning tool for children I have ever seen. It holds their interest and explains things in their own language. My grandson loves the magazine and can't wait for the next issue.
