About Mac Life

First published in 1993, Mac Life is one of two successors to the now-defunct CD-ROM magazine. Originally named MacAddict, the magazine was renamed Mac Life when it was relaunched in 2007.

Considered the ultimate hands-on guide to Macintosh personal computer and related products, including the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, Mac Life provides readers with a comprehensive range of information, from upgrading to troubleshooting to customizing in each monthly issue.

In addition to Mac Life's featured articles, content in the magazine is organized into the following sections: "Start," which covers a wide range of product recommendations, news, and reader feedback; "App Life," reviews of the newest apps across numerous categories; "Reviews," the latest products, peripherals, and accessories put to the test; and "Create," how-tos and troubleshooting techniques relevant to Apple products. Some of Mac Life's regular sections include: "Crave," must-have products as picked by the magazine; and "$50 iTunes Card," editors share how they would spend a $50 iTunes gift card.

Anyone who loves computing and technology and wants to get more out of their Apple devices would find plenty of helpful tips in a subscription to Mac Life magazine!

Very informative for a Mac newbie!

By shkat

from PHL

I recently bought a Mac computer, although I've owned an iPod for awhile. I find Mac Life magazine is a nice mix of advanced and newbie information. I save all of the issues and have found myself going back to find something I read about to help troubleshoot or look at a new application.

Solid Mac Magazine

By Kilroy

from MA

Mac Life magazine is a very good Mac magazine that deals with relevant, current Mac issues. After reading my first issue, it was nice to see that this magazine does not seem to be merely an ad for all Mac products. Not having an iPhone, there is a big chunk of the magazine that does not apply to me. Overall, I am happy with my subscription and look forward to continued reading.

Very Informative

By Big J

from St. Louis

Mac Life is a great magazine for learning how to use your Mac. It has good reviews on products and insight on what may be coming in the future. My only complaint, which for most people would not be a complaint, is that there is too much on the iPhone.

Best Mac Magazine

By Kevin

from U.S.

Mac Life (non-disc version) magazine is great and I have been reading it for years. It is especially helpful with its great reviews and how-to articles. I highly recommend it as the best Mac magazine.

Useful resource

By pathways

from Oregon

Mac Life provides a good overall summary of happenings in the Apple world. The articles are brief and comprehensible. The downside is relatively shallow coverage. It does not provide in-depth discussion of ways to improve use of Apple systems.
