I look forward to the monthly articles relating to women in different parts of the world. I also enjoy the fashion portions that actually show clothes that are worn by normal people rather than focusing on runway fashions which do not represent clothing available for wear for the normal female population.

Marie Claire has gone downhill with way too many advertisements. You have to flip through 50 pages of ads just to get to the index. There are only a few things to read. The majority of the magazine is advertisements or fashion pictures. I hate the magazine and do not recommend it to anyone.

I have been subscribed to this magazine a few months now and I really enjoy it. I would suggest it to anyone looking for a light read with lots of style and beauty advice.
Love the magazine.
This is a great magazine if you just want to look at pictures. It definitely feeds into the only thin women are beautiful and stylish, but that is their audience. The fashions are lovely.

Marie Claire is currently my favorite magazine. I love reading real news magazine articles and looking at up to date high end fashion and beauty. However, the editors need to decide who the audience is. It usually speaks to the modern professional woman, yet features photos and opinions of college freshman girls. I like that it does not speak to primarily older women like O magazine whose fashion is a bit baby boomer style, and that it doesn't speak primarily to mothers like Redbook, where I have to skip over all the articles and references to kids.
Marie Claire magazine is lots of fun stuff to read, though not everything is real so you must know about fashion and what item look good on you. Good info about people and lifestyle in different parts of the world. Interviews are great and give good insight.
Marie Claire is a smart magazine for women interested in more than celebrity trends. Their human interest stories are in depth and the stories I always go to first. I love that they explore women's issues globally but recently those pieces have been shortened and more puff fashion pieces are added. The fashion pieces lack focus and are the same run of the mill writing you would find in any other fashion magazine. Still, they have good, interesting content, and offer more depth than the average magazine geared towards women.
I like the photos in Marie Claire. I like their articles about women in different Countries, different jobs, different culture. Ads more than articles, their fashion choices only good for working women in big cities such as SF, LA, NY, but not suitable for here in St. Louis.

I have gifted Marie Claire magazine for the last several years to three daughters and a sister (at their request). They love the magazine and have continued to request it every Christmas as a gift. (wife enjoys reading it too.)
