Unfocused & Egomanical Edit
Motorcyclist used to be a solid magazine until the new editor took over. It is sometimes difficult to tell the ads from the editorial.

This was a good magazine for winding down. I enjoyed the head to head comparisons and product reviews.
This magazine is great for anyone that wants to know anything about street motorcycles. The articles are in depth, easy to read and full of attention grabbing information. This magazine would be a great gift for any motorcycle enthusiast!
Purchased Motorcyclist mag for my dad LA * Dad enjoys!
I have a metric cruiser, thought I was getting a different magazine than what came in the mail. I wanted articles about how to fix change or repair what I need. Things that the common motorcyclist needs know about when making trips across our great nation or else where. Instead I got some attitude from a bunch of guys that have a high school mentality, that since I'm not in their club, I'm the dumb knuckle-dragin' type. No I'm not cafe rider, not a vintage anything rider, and definitely not a BMW/Triumph/Ducati/anything sportbike/anything dualsport rider, but don't give me attitude because I'm not. I'm sure this was just me on a bad day, got my feelings hurt, and it had nothing to do with the rag, but that's ok, I didn't like and I won't subscribe again, lesson learned. But I'll also not recommend it to anyone either unless they ride those types of bikes.
It's an easy read, lots of advertising but I am finding some great new things to research or try so it works for me.
Nothing wrong if that's what you like but I was hoping for more variety. So far all 3 issues of Motorcyclist magazine are the same stuff. I am disappointed, not that it's a bad magazine. It's just not what I thought it was going to be. It was my mistake, and I'll not be renewing my subscription, but I just thought I'd give it a try. No harm, no foul.
Motorcyclist magazine is not for true Harley riders.
Motorcyclist magazine has been a staple in my mailbox for almost 20 years. It reviews streetbikes, cruisers, sportbikes, even dirtbikes at times and gives the good/bad/ugly of all of them. It's not solely a sportbike magazine however; it reviews Harley models and other American Iron as well. However, the majority of the reviews are sport-related as these articles are relevant to the majority of the riding public. They also review gear, tools and other things that make riding more enjoyable or easier. The current editor seems to have an obsession for Italian sportbikes so there's an unusual amount of those in certain issues - not to my liking. Previous editor did his best to eek out a lesson for motorcyclists in his editorials, current editor seems to want to return to the past and relive it again.
Motorcyclist magazine has too little content.
I enjoy the fresh reporting in Motorcyclist from numerous contributors. Short and to the point articles filled with VG MB insight.
