I've been reading "Rolling Stone" since I was a teenager living close to Frisco, CA. *Think I was 14 when I first started reading it! RS always had the most interesting stories on the Musicians that are popular at the moment; and/or past musicians that you'd like to hear what they've been UP to lately! I can never get enough of my Rolling Stones! BTW the mag is Highly Collectable! As soon as you buy one, it already has increased in appreciation! True. Another thing about RS, it's not limited to musicians, NO! There's also stories about famous Stars, interviews that ask the questions you want to hear, and gives you the unedited answers you want to hear! NO editing is alot more interesting than other mags that 'bleep' out those certain words most of us use too.Let's face it, the 'words' are all over the TV & online, there's NO getting around it! That's one thing that drew me to it long ago; they've NEVER pulled any punches, & I doubt ever will~!! Gimme my RS mag, with all it's many moments of Insight & reputable memories! Buy one & SEE for yourself!

Not what I expected
Everthing in this magazine is from a far left polictical viewpoint. I bought the magazine for music articles and sadly they seem like an afterthought to gun control and bashing republicans.

I love the political articles. they are up to date. great interviews
I can still remember a piece I read in a Rolling Stone issue some 15 years ago; it's one of the reasons I decided to become a writer. The pieces will entertain and enlighten, and some part of the material will stick with you months after you read it. Whether the writers are covering a well-known subject, or one that's just emerging, you can't help but be impressed by the way they get to the heart of the matter, asking questions and getting details you wish you could remember to do if you ever found yourself in these same situations or in front of these same subjects. Reading these articles is probably the closest I'll ever get to some of these topics and people, and in the writers' capable hands, I'm fine with that.
Rolling Stone is a great magazine to keep updates on music and entertainment. It also has great in-depth articles on politics and other important issues. I look forward to every issue.
I have always enjoyed this magazine and remember when my father was a subscriber. The political articles tend to reflect a definite liberal slant, but if you can get past that it's fine.
I'm an old member of the counter-culture circuit of the sixties and so have been subscribing on and off (mostly on) to Rolling Stone since the early 70's.
Love getting my Rolling Stone in the mail. In addition to the immense amount of music info, there are always interesting political articles. Great magazine!
Rolling Stone Magazine is a household name that I hope to view poetry in music as a new trend to grasp.
Been reading Rolling Stone since the first issue. Always reliable reportage and some breakthroughs over the decades.
I've been a Rolling Stone magazine reader since its very early days (I believe the first issue I bought had Bob Dylan on the cover back in the days when it was printed on newsprint and folded in half). While Rolling Stone lost its relevancy for a while, especially in the 80s, it has found its mojo again. Yes, I could do without the articles on the rap artists, but the articles, interviews and record reviews are worth the price of the subscription all by themselves.

Rolling Stone Magazine Subscription Video Review
Hi. My name is Levi Weaver.
Rolling Stone is not just a magazine, they are an institution. You never hear it brought up in a conversation where someone asks "Rolling…what?" It's like MTV, Google, Chevrolet, The Dallas Cowboys, …Rolling Stone. It's been a part of our culture for so long now that even in the internet age, this name is synonymous with the biggest names in the music scene.
The biggest acts, the most-coveted festival tickets, the newest videos, the best photos - you're always going to find those in this magazine and on their website. And it will be that way for as long as we have magazines and musicians. Every kid who picks up a guitar or a microphone wants to be on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
On the other hand, most non-entertainers want to avoid it. And that's really where Rolling Stone shines above and beyond other music magazines; it takes that rock and roll ethos and aims it outward. Do you want to read about rebel fighters in Latin America? How about a scathing exposé on some of the bailout CEOs? Curious what's going on with the Presidential candidates? All of this has absolutely nothing to do with The Edge's guitar pedalboard or the latest Bon Iver release (those are there, too), but it fits. It's not just a glitzy photobook about rock stars.
Of course, at its core, Rolling Stone is, and always has been, a music magazine. Reviews of the latest releases (not just music, but movies, DVDs, and books), interviews, articles… they're all there like you'd expect. And honestly, the reason you expect it is because that has been Rolling Stone's way from the beginning.
New music magazines come and go, and some of them are really excellent, but this standard was set decades ago. Rolling Stone always manages to pry something else, something new, something more personal out of artists, and that, really, is the crux of it.
We still look up to rock stars, on some level, and to have a glimpse into how they think and feel; that's still something that keeps your attention.
