Older issues of Artist Magazine are much better on January 13, 2009

If you're looking for a magazine with instruction and "how-to", this is NOT your magazine. I am an amateur artist and dropped my subscription because the magazine is NOW more for the professional artist. The older issues of Artist Magazine (if you can find them), are much better as for as instruction and "how-to". I have bought several at Ebay. If you are a professional and want to hear all about artist expressions of what you feel, and what you want to convey in your art, then this magazine is for you.

From how various artists set up their studios to how they accomplish a certain effect, Artist's magazine covers many aspects of art that you were wondering about. Business procedures are discussed in detail and how to sell work online, at a gallery, and how to improve your work. It is a working artist's best friend.
