Making a House a Home on November 11, 2009 by Winifred from Florida

  • Pros: Nice home improvement and decorating ideas
  • Cons: Some of the food recipes are too complicated

I do thoroughly enjoy Better Homes & Gardens magazine. Though the publisher's remarks, seem rather self-indulgent and fringe, and I do not typically like the celebrity comments, the reporters do a good job and the articles and photos are very appealing. This is a super magazine for homemakers; my husband really enjoys the gardening features as well.

Mixed Message on September 25, 2009 by Jeannie from Oregon

  • Pros: Great photos
  • Cons: Average content

Better Homes & Gardens is just another women's magazine - lots of diet articles and lots of dessert recipes.

  • Age: 55+
  • Magazines: 4-5

Do Not Recommend Unless You Like Ads on August 05, 2009 by Eagle from USA

  • Pros: Great magazine for ads
  • Cons: Cannot read a good indepth article because of ads

Better Homes & Gardens magazine is full of ads and I know that it was not like this years ago. Money will make anyone compromise tradition. If you like ads, buy this magazine, but if you're looking at reading some good articles and stories, this is not the magazine for you.

Consistently Good, Fresh Ideas on June 05, 2009 by Suelala from USA

Better Homes & Gardens keeps up with current decorating trends without being extreme. In every issue I end up tearing out several pages to keep for reference or inspiration.
