I bought a property on a little lake in the Catskills. After reading every magazine available dedicated to outdoor living (everything from titles dedicated to log homes to country lifestyles), this one is the only publication that I continue to read. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for interesting and useful information pertaining to all facets of mountain living -- from home tips, to great recipes, to family activities, to wildlife photos and lore, it covers every aspect of living in harmony and joy in the outdoor environment. It's not overrun with advertising like all the rest, either, a real treat.

Cabin Life is my favorite magazine! We are fortunate to own a lakeside cabin and this magazine provides us with great information about owning a cabin. It has many articles that are relevant to our cabin (septic systems, liability issues, etc.). The articles are well written and researched and the photos are beautiful. There are many recipes that are included and are very good. The ads are very relevant to owners of second homes and we have used some of the products advertised. We have subscribed since the magazine's inception and can hardly wait for the magazine to arrive. We keep all issues for future reference. Best magazine on the market.

you can dream about owning a 2nd home. If you are lucky enough to own one their are awsome tips about everything from cooking on a fire pit to protecting you home from fires. Every issue is different and the pictures are so beautiful. I look for it in my mailbox all the time!
