Good advice on November 11, 2009 by Jud from U.S.

  • Pros: products tested and evaluated
  • Cons: limited products in a line

I use the info in Consumer Reports magazine to help me select products to buy. I like that it doesn't accept advertising. It should be unbiased.

Super Handy! on November 10, 2009 by Lolabeane from Orlando, FL

  • Pros: Great advice and wonderful coverage of products
  • Cons: Wish they would review household cleansers more frequently

I refer to my Consumer Reports magazine all the time in making purchases, from televisions to laundry detergent to car buying tips! It's a terrific asset to know what products work best to help save money!

I don't make major purchases w/o it on November 10, 2009 by Grampa from CT

  • Pros: Explains ins & outs, what to look for, strengths, weaknesses
  • Cons: Can't think of any real cons

Consumer Reports contains no advertising, so they don't have to be careful about being critical. They don't allow their name to be used in advertising. I feel their information is as unbiased as any I know of. I save back issues as a reference, and have been very pleased following their advice.
