Must Have on January 30, 2009 by LindaJB from San Clemente

  • Pros: Well detailed instructions. Variety of dishes and menus.
  • Cons: About 30% advertistments

I look forward each month to it's arrival. I have tried and been successful with the receipes I've tried. Most receipes are reasonable in lengh and I would recommend this magazine to anyone who likes to cook.

Worth every penny on January 29, 2009 by steelerfan1 from Altoona, PA

  • Pros: great-tasting healthy food, not preachy, moderation key
  • Cons: nothing!

There aren't many magazines I read cover to cover but this one I just can't put down. Not only that but I REALLY USE this magazine! I almost always find a recipe that becomes a keeper for my family and it sure feels good knowing that I'm not serving fat-laden dinners to the people I love. :) I like that they don't jump on the next new diet bandwagon. It's about moderation. The photos are gorgeous. A few more of them would be okay but what I see now still makes this a worthwhile purchase. The quick and easy meals are always popular for me. I have very little time to cook and these come in handy.

love the variety on December 01, 2008 by MPD from South Florida

This is a great Magazine; it offers healthy options without going to extremes. This is definitely not rabbit food! This magazine has appeal for the general public. The photography is great, & the travel articles highlight accessible locations for the normal traveler.

I love this magazine on April 08, 2008 by Happygal from New York

  • Pros: great recipes, easy to prepare
  • Cons: some ingredients not easy to find, after years many of the recipes are similar

I have been a subscriber for years and love this magazine. It has helped me lose weight and cook healthier for my family. Everyday is an adventure. I look forward to trying new things. My teenage kids have grown up on cooking light. I have given it as a gift to a new bride often and have always received good reviews. Many recipes have become family favorites. I would recommend it to both the experienced cook and the beginner.

Cooking Light Magazine on March 18, 2008 by sykotik kittie from Marysville, WA

  • Pros: Great recipes, great ideas, great information on nutrition and how foods go together
  • Cons: a lot of meat dishes

I enjoy this magazine a lot. I have gotten useful information on nutrition that doesn't take a doctor to understand. The recipes are well planned out with nutrition information included. I have been able to turn a few dishes into vegetarian, but have had difficulty with others. The articles are well written and from good sources.
