Best cooking magazine ever on June 29, 2007 by barb

Absolutely love your magazine, definately five star, however, I was upset with an article in yourAugust/Sepember 2007 issure. You printed a tip from a reader about wetting an egg carton to get out eggs that are stuck in the carton. If an egg is stuck in a carton it suggests that there has been a crack in th egg and therefore should not be used due to the posssibility of contamination.

Cook's Country on November 07, 2006 by CJ from Montpelier VT

Cook's Country is full of excellent recipes, loads of kitchen tips, product reviews, humorous stories from readers and help finding 'lost' recipes. Best of all - Cook's Country features real homestyle cooking - nothing that's too fancy for a real person to try. This magazine has not only improved my cooking skills, it has improved my confidence in my cooking ability!

Cook's Country on October 01, 2006 by Sandra from Springfield OR

I am a layman chef, and I don't really like to cook to boot, but Cook's Country magazine helps me enjoy cooking and actually look forward to it. I like Cook's Country's comprehensive approach to recipes. It's not just that they explain cooking terminology so that even I can understand them (example: explaining exactly what a Dutch oven is), it's that they take the time to explain the process they went through in the test kitchen to develop the recipe. I am sometimes annoyed at how recipes call for a complicated/time consuming procedure but offer no good reason why. With Cook's Country, I actually get a compelling reason why it is worth my time/effort and I really like that. Many of the recipes are simple enough for a beginner, but also keep established chefs thinking creatively (this latter observation is based on feedback from talented friends who have read the magazine, too). Full-color pictures and pull-out recipe cards are the gravy of Cook's Country - both help me when I am trying to replicate a recipe, as well as suggest an artful presentation of the dish. All in all, Cook's Country is a great magazine for anyone interested in cooking, from beginner on up.
