Still Enjoy Old Issues on August 06, 2007 by Antique/Gardener

I have saved all my magazines dating back to the early 80s. There is no comparison with the magazine then and now. The current magazine is ALL adds, filler, and very little real antique or country material. When I travel I always bring the old issues to read in the car. They are full of wonderful antique homes, collections, gardening, and so much more. I am about to cancel my subsciption and just continue to enjoy the past magazines. Kinda sad!

Country Living on July 19, 2007 by Darcygee from Milford Pa

The magazine is full of advertisements, I CANCELLED Both COUNRTY LIVING AND COUNTRY HOME, at one time I really enjoyed both of them, now the magazines have totally changed but the problem is that I still have the same interest as before "I haven't changed", in my eyes the magazine is now made to sell advertising only, with a little interest thrown in for the consumer 1) whats left as interest excluding the 2/3 of the mag. advertisments seems to be the same old stuff nothing new.just diff colors 2) I have no intention of paying to see advertisments. I go out of my way to get a magazine I can enjoy. not be BORED STIFF I guess I made myself Clear

Tired and mundane..... on May 04, 2007 by Tired in Wisconsin

I've subscribed to Country Living for years...stopped once when I was fed up with the same stuff month after month...and am at that point agian. Just got a "continuous service program" billing where they've sent a bill for $19.97 for another year's worth of "slipcovering flea market finds" and painting everything with "dirty white". ENOUGH...there's more to country than that...but they're in a rut. AND...I came to the Inernet site to see a subscription price of only $12???? Either price, I want something NEW, not the same tiree old thing.

beseiged with phone calls.... on April 05, 2007 by Disgruntled

Beware of the never ending phone calls you will get after you fail to sign up for another subscription. They will call you three times a day. The magazine is really not that great, nearly all ads and you can NEVER get these people to stop calling you.
