Domino WAS my favorite magazine! on January 21, 2009
by Lucy from Chico, CA
  • Pros: The furniture & ideas are realistic for most homes!
  • Cons: My sister received a notice that they were going out of business.

Domino had become my newest home decor mag and I bought 3 subscriptions at X-mas for each one of my sisters. My mother also receives it and recently got a notice- Going-Out-Of-Business! It has come to my attention that the newer magazines do not make it. This happened last X-mas too! Anyone else heard anything? I would love to recommend Domino and subscribe myself but am just not sure if they are going to make it! Besides that, Domino's ideas are realistic for most homes. The colors are bright and seems aesthetically pleasing.

I love the variety of styles featured in this magazine. One of my favorite features of this magazine is the page markers it provides to mark sections of the magazine that you want to save. I have been a subscriber since their premier issue and I love it.

Great Magazine on February 11, 2008
by coco from Massachusetts
  • Pros: something for everybody: style-wise and budget-wise
  • Cons: lots of ads (but so what?)

Domino succeeds because there truly is something for everybody. I am addicted to design magazines, but this one stands out because of its interesting and varied articles, its emphasis on finding something for nearly every design taste and budget, and its sourcing information. Domino makes it easy to actually find products featured in the magazine - and they're not all "to the trade" which is really refreshing. I also love the little stickers they have so the reader can mark pages of interest. It's an extra touch that is at once clever and practical. Love it!

More magazine than catalog on March 04, 2007
by kateo from Nashville, TN

I hesitated to subscribe at first because I wondered if reading Domino was going to feel too much like reading a catalog, but the only real similarity is that you get exposed to a wealth of new products and ideas for your home. Domino goes much farther, of course, with articles ranging from trends in buying and selling fine art through blogs to original and stylish party themes for the holidays. Now that I know how much I learn from each issue, I get excited when I see a new copy of Domino in my mailbox -- it means I'm about to be inspired.
