More for teens than in betweens on July 14, 2008 by Sandy from Houston, TX

  • Pros: Articles with Stars, good photos
  • Cons: content a bit more mature than needed for girls under 12

I would not recommend this magazines to any girl under 12-13 years of age. Focuses too much on boys and appearance. Discusses things like pregnancy, feeling like the girl thinks boys may only like her because she has developed large breasts early, boy crazy, etc. Let's allow our young girls to be innocent while they can. Maturilty lasts forever.

great magazine on June 18, 2008 by little sis

  • Pros: fashion, beauty tricks, quizzes, funny embarrasing moments
  • Cons: haven't found one so far.

I think this is a magazine for 11-15 year olds. if you are too old for discovery girl and too young for seventeen magazine (like me) this is a good magazine to buy. this magazine isn't too adult if you are over 11 years old.

Very Good on April 16, 2008 by cheerisluvvv from MA

  • Pros: Everything other than the cons!!
  • Cons: Needs more pictures

This is a good magazine. I've been getting it for a few years. The only thing is the minimal reccomended age is 10. It should start at 12. I'm sure that 10 yr olds don't need to be wearing wedges or needing concealer when they're only in 4th or 5th grade!

A Great Mag on November 20, 2007 by liz's mom

  • Cons: only 6 times a year

My daughter is not a little girl anymore, not quite a teenager yet. Has the fashion and beauty advice appropriate for 13 year olds. Has 'boy' information in terms of crushes. Has articles on BFF's and being a good friend and a strong individual. My daughter is excited every time it arrives!
