Good, but not entirely satisfied on March 14, 2008 by paragonvill from Hackettstown, N.J.

  • Pros: Great stories and memories.
  • Cons: too many adds in color. pictures, except front cover in black and white

When I received the advertisement for the "Good Old Days" I was under the impression that there would be more pictures than there are. Therefore, I immediately subscribed. Working with residents who have dementia,as I do, I depend heavily on pitures whether illustrated or photgraphic. Most of the population that you are trying to reach, require visual props as well as verbal/audio. Not to mention the other senses. I would love this magazie if there where some changes made.

good old days on November 19, 2007 by eve from new jersey

I have been looking for "good old days"magazine for the longest time. Years ago I bought it whenever I saw it at the store. Somehow it sort of disappeared from the places I was shopping. I remember the smiles and the beautiful warm feeling I got from reading the stories within the pages, feeling like I was living along with some of these writers. Many stories brought me back to my own cherished memories and gave me an extra boost to make sure I too make some loving and heart felt memories for my children and grandchildren. Thank you again for giving this 60 year old such a precious magazine. Magazines, com thank you so very very much for making it so easy to find this wonderful gift for me and my sister.

Yard sale find on September 27, 2007 by Shelley

I bought this book from a yard sale (estate sale) and this lady had copies dated back to the early 80's and I bought one dated 1993 and it was the best smack you back to your childhood books ever and I loved it, reminds me of my grandparents and how GOOD they had it! If ever you find an old one get it, they are wonderful!

Bringing Back the Good Old Days on July 26, 2007 by Dark Diva

My mother is 90 years old and there's not alot out there that she can read and truly enjoy and relate to, so when she read a copy of this magazine in the hospital, it was a real treat for her. "I remember this.." was how she started alot of sentences while reading the magazine so this was a perfect gift idea for her and other's her age.
