Horse Illustrated on July 01, 2009 by Emily from Michigan

  • Pros: To: all you horse illustrated fans
  • Cons: From: Emily

Horse Illustrated is great for kids and adults. It teaches kids the responsibility of taking care of horses and their moods and all that other great stuff. There's great stories from readers like me and you. I love Horse Illustrated. It's a delightful read.

Making Headlines in the May Issue on April 09, 2009 by Bee Gee from Southaven, MS

  • Pros: Walking horse, Walking horse, Walking horse......;)
  • Cons: Not enough or much attention given to this breed

I was just about to give up on Horse Illustrated magazine having anything, even a negative mention about the Tennessee Walking horse Mississippi Walking horse if I had my say about it) but so far these last two issues have had at least one article about them. I really enjoyed last month's issue about Elvis and his love for the breed. So I'll keep buying Horse Illustrated as long as the editors keep having at least one positive or negative article about this breed.

Horse Illustrated Is Good For Info on January 29, 2009 by Meg from Jaffrey, NH

  • Pros: Very informative
  • Cons: Long and drawn out, too many adds distract from articles

Horse Illustrated is a good, informative magazine. It offers many good solutions from financial to training and lays them out in a clear, although drawn-out, manner. The only negative things I have to say is: the authors tend to be rather long-winded and the editors often put too many adds inbetween the article pages, making it harder to concentrate on the information you're trying to absorb. I reccomend Horse Illustrated to anyone who would like to learn time and money saving tips for running their barn and has a passion for horses. It is a good choice for an adult who has always loved horses, but not been fortunate enough to own their own because you don't HAVE to own a horse to benefit from the information. It is NOT extremely kid-friendly. Older teens would benefit, but not early teens and under because of the professionalism of the articles. Thanks for reading! -Meg PS - Hope you found the review helpful!
