There is no other music magazine like Making Music out there. I love the articles; I look forward to every issue. I've been a subscriber for three years. I wish it was a monthly.

  • Pros: great content and design; interesting articles; nothing else like this out there
  • Cons: only bi-monthly (6x/year), but the website has great info in between issues

Just a great magazine for people who enjoy playing music, any kind of instrument. Not page after page of gear I don't care about, but does have some instrument/accessory reviews. Mostly about the experience and joy of playing just for fun. Smart and clever. I recommend this highly. A real find!

  • Pros: Great magazine for the amateur musician!

I love this magazine. It is filled with articles and tips on playing music--all types and all instruments. And has great stories about other people who play just for fun. Reading this magazine has inspired me to dust off my old acoustic, and start playing again (and I bought an electric guitar recently too). My daughter is a drummer, so she and I both get a kick out of all the different stories. If you want a different magazine that isn't all "gear talk" or just press releases, Making Music is perfect for you.
