- Pros: real life examples
- Cons: currently too expensive
I read Money magazine cover-to-cover for years and I always learn something. No matter what your age or how much money you have, there will be interesting articles for you. The trouble is the cost went up 50% last year and doubled this year, while the magazine itself has gotten thinner. The recent price hike went past my threshold, so I did not renew. I see that it is half the price here than the price for a longtime subscriber to renew. At this price, I do recommend it.

- Pros: Makes things easy to understand
I've been a subscriber for several years now, and overall I find Money magazine informative and helpful. It is important to remember that the magazine does not and cannot substitute for the advice of a qualified financial planner, but if you are like me (no finance experience at all) it will help you become more informed about money generally. I've learned a lot about personal finance from the magazine, and it has helped me become a more informed investor, consumer, and household money manager. On occasion I've used information from the magazine and I've saved a significant amount of money; like when I read an article about college financing and looked into consolidating my students loans. Saved me a ton!

Money magazine is a sensationalistic magazine, not facts. The magazine does not offer good advice. In fact, most people that I know that have subscribed to Money magazine for years, have given the magazine back.

I have subscribed to Money for a couple years and it is my favorite of the financial magazines. The articles are interesting, just the right level of detail. The topics cover the range of money issues from saving, investing and getting rid of debt. I always learn something even though I consider myself reasonably good with money.

This magazine is not in your best interest, it does not let you know about all of us that have invested more and more in real estate, had tenants pay our mortgages, pick up these fabulous foreclosures. Most of the rich people in the states put their money after they make it in real estate, it is seldom mentioned with the exception of all the problems in the recent year. Also, the way it promotes the president's spending is pathetic at best. I have requested a cancellation and money refunded, they keep sending me the magazine over and over, I just want it to stop even if they don't refund me now!!!!
