Entrepreneur publishes the "Franchise 500", which lists the top franchise opportunities for business people. Read stories from other business owners who have dealt with the issue of expanding their own business and how they faced the challenge. Each issue offers numerous articles presenting the guidance you and your business need. Monthly columns in the technology department include "Digital Edge", "Net Profit" and "Snapshot."   • Pros: refreshing broad view. gives some insight in numerous industries.
  • Cons: cheap. loaded with ads for franchises and schools. no real entreprenuerial insight

Entrepreneur is an easy read, but is mainly a phone book for companies to market their products. The magazine makes for decent 'coffee table' material though no real advice, albeit they provide a 'checklist' system so you can review your business venture as a whole from multiple perspectives.

This is a smart, inspiring magazine that's loaded with business tips and true stories from seemingly average people who have chased their dreams and succeeded. It's well-written, thoroughly researched, and never a dry read! You'll always learn something new and it's far better than Fortune or Money. Once you get your hands on this magazine, you'll already have a leg up on everyone else when it comes to business and entrepreneurship.
