No More Evolution in Scientific American on April 16, 2009 by None from USA

  • Pros: STICK TO SCIENCE
  • Cons: STAY AWAY FROM THE RELIGION OF EVOLUTION

I am sick and frankly, really tired of Scientific American promoting evolution as a fact of science in every issue. Evolution has no business even being in Scientific American magazine.

Technical, But Not Too Technical on January 10, 2008 by Lori from NJ

  • Pros: Articles are in-depth and well-written
  • Cons: Occasional article is too deep

SA is one magazine that is eagerly awaited in my household. I always learn something fascinating in each issue and there is always plenty of food for thought. The articles are extremely well-written and researched. Usually, they are technical enough without being too technical. Occasionally, an article gets too mumbo-jumbo and I stop reading it, but that is the exception. The mag has a great website, too. My husband and I are always saying to one another, "Did you see that article in this month's Scientific American?" The mag has sparked many great conversations.

Excellent magazine on June 28, 2007 by Jole

Great magazine for the "non-scientist". The focus is on THE SCIENCE. Unlike the MSM, SA does not allow itself to get swayed by political (and corporate) interests that so often leads to debunked charlatans too much space on "controversial" issues such as stemcells and global warming.

Somewhat biased on February 28, 2007 by Fayettebill

Excellent magazine although they have a huge bias on global warming. Rather than share debate they have closed their mind to researchers like Shaviv, Veiser, Singer, Hu and others who postulate that solar radiation may be the prime driver of warming not CO2.
