Seventeen was first launched in 1944 and was the first magazine with editorial just for teenagers. Walter Annenberg was the founder of Seventeen and also founded TV Guide in 1953. It is currently published by Hearst corporation, which is the publisher of Cosmopolitan and Redbook.
