Love it! on November 10, 2009 by Kid from North Carolina

  • Pros: Variety of subject matter

I love Southern Living-it is by far my favorite magazine. There's something for everyone-whether you're from the South or a transplant, you're exposed to Southern traditions at their best.

Still Reading Southern Living on November 10, 2009 by Sunshine from Michigan

I agree with other reviews, Southern Living is not what it used to be. I used to get tons of decorating ideas and looked forward to the recipes. I still always read it but it could be better.

Southern Living is a fantastic magazine. It has great recipes for everyone, but also good planting information for people in the South. I love the decorating tips - great for real people!

Frustrated with Southern Living on October 21, 2009 by Gigirose from Beloved South

  • Pros: beautiful covers
  • Cons: too many ads, ill formatted

I subscribed to Southern Living for almost 15 years. Not anymore. I used to sit for a couple of hours and read the magazine, once or twice, but not anymore. I am done in 10 minutes and frustrated at that. I picked up an issue in the store and it sadly confirmed my opinion again.

Prefer Old Format on October 06, 2009 by Used to love Southern Living from U.S.

  • Pros: Not many, anymore
  • Cons: Looks like all of the other magazines

I think Southern Living should bring back its old format. Southern Living magazine used to have a larger, different format that made it special. It used to have TONS of recipes, interesting decorating ideas, etc.
