  • Pros: Informative, great pictures, love the Q&A, great for freshwater and marine enthusiasts!

Tropical Fish Hobbyist is a wonderful magazine. It's laid out beautifully and is the highest quality tropical fish magazine on the market. The digital subscription is also great - cheaper than the print subscription and contains all the same info.

Not a bad magazine on September 29, 2007 by Cichlid Enthusiast

  • Pros: Beautiful photos, in-depth articles.
  • Cons: Ad-heavy, mostly focused on marine tanks.

It's a pretty good magazine, they mostly focus on marine tanks though. While there is a cichlid section, it's mostly about South American cichlids. Takashi Amano is a regular contributor, which is excellent if you are into planted tanks.
