on October 29, 2007 by Your new TV Guide stinks from Texas

  • Pros: none
  • Cons: Don't like gossip or in-depth reviews on stars

Your new version stinks. I'm a senior and need to know whats on during daytime TV and also into evening hours after 11 p.m. I do not like your new format. Just want listings of shows and times. There are other magazines with all that other junk about stars.

A Slide Downhill on October 12, 2007 by Rob from San Francisco Bay Area

Since the change in format, TV Guide has gone downhill so far that when my subscription expires, I will not renew it. I could find daytime TV schedules in the old Guide, but in the new one, only 8 pm to 11 pm are available, even on the weekend. Football, baseball, and other daytime sports are impossible to find. I hope there are enough cancellations for the TV Guide management to reconsider the new format, and go back to the more useful one.

TV Guide on September 23, 2007 by Emerald from CA

  • Pros: Larger size is great.
  • Cons: It does not cover 24/7 programs listed daily.

I am debating as to whether or not to renew my subscription to TV Guide because there is so much programming information missing. I thought that what we buy it for....to be able to see what is on every day, what time, what channel, etc. It ends on Sunday, but you cannot see the entire day's programs listed. Also, if I want gossip I will buy People magazine. I want the old TV Guide format.

I subscribe to T.V.Guide because it is the only one around.I am a shutin and would really like to know what is on T V all day.If I wanted a gossip magazine I would buy one.T.V.Guide reads from 8*pm to 11 pm What is on the rest of the day and night.I like to tape shows during the night so I can watch them in the day but it is impossible. I hear many people complain why cant we have the old format back

TV Guide on August 13, 2007 by beerlady

I like the new size because you can fold it open flat. It is missing a lot of detail as far as daytime shows and after 10:30 PM! Do you think we don't want to know what is on at these times?? Also, when they say you get 52 issues that is not true. For some reason they count double issues and specials differently. I always thought if you paid for 52 issues you should get a whole year of the magazine! My year subscription is actually less than 11 months! How on earth does TV Guide figure this out??
