TV Guide on February 25, 2009 by GP from Bellingham, WA

This magazine is really no good for us in northwest Washington state--the programming is incomplete and they have taken Fox News out of the magazine. Also, there are no numbers for the stations.

Only in the USA on February 23, 2009 by Crusher from NB, Canada

This magazine isn't available for Canadians. When it ceased publication here it wasn't much good anymore. As a lot of other reviewers on this site have stated the listings were severely cut back. The whole reason for TV Guide being around used to be for the listings. Now I have to rely on the weekly TV listing guide in our paper. There have been MANY times that that section of the paper is missing. Also the is NO episode synopses and never was. That was my favourite part of the magazine.

I just got the 1st issue of my TV Guide subscription and I could not believe my eyes. Where is the TV guide that I remember? The listing is only for primetime 8pm to 10:30pm, no day time or weekend or sports, no movie reviews. I was so disappointed that I called and cancelled the subscription immediately. The guide is expensive and filled with unecessary stuff I guess that's why they now call it a magazine.

  • Pros: It has sudoku
  • Cons: Not enough program listings. ????????

When I look at aTV guide I want to see what is on TV at any time. This only lists what is on from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. ???????? don't you realize that TV has programs on all day. Not just for 2 1/2 hours. I am so glad I didn't get it for any longer than I did. I get more info from the news paper. And here I was thinking I'd be better off ordering the TV guide. I remember when I was a teen ager I use to look forward to getting the TV guide so I could check out ALL the programs that I wanted to watch day or night. Do away with some of the articles and put more TV listings-----maybe for all day AND evening. I thought that's what a TV guide was for. T see what is on at any time.
