Zoobooks magazine on October 21, 2010 by brownbit from New York City

  • Pros: great photographs and illustrations, has kids activity pages
  • Cons: has only 17 pages

My six and eight yr. old love receiving Zoobooks magazine. I like that one animal is featured in each magazine. The articles must be read to children in 3rd gr. and under, though the articles are very informative.

ZooBooks on July 01, 2010 by Bluepeacocks from Albuquerque, NM

  • Pros: Extensive review of a species in each magazine
  • Cons: Some of it was a bit long

As mom to a 7 year old boy, I was looking for something for him to read that was both educational as well as interesting for him. He is a rising 2nd grader and loves to read Zoobooks magazine, plus getting mail with his name was a great thing to him! While he greatly enjoyed the overall content of the 1st magazine, some of it was still a bit tricky for him to read alone (and he's actually a great reader for his age group). The overall length of the articles are a bit long for a young reader alone and use new words for him (but he liked that--but meant I couldn't leave him to read it alone. But I feel like it is something that he is learning from as it was detailed, as well as not being totally loaded with ads! Love that!

Awesome!! on January 11, 2008 by mom2boys from Indianapolis,IN

  • Pros: Awesome, Great Pics and Great Facts

My boys have been getting this for a little over a year. They love it!! They get so excited when their own magazine comes in. I think it is an awesome way to teach children about the creatures of our earth!
