I ordered Sports Illustrated for my 15-year-old son. He loves sports of any kind. This is a good way for him to enjoy sports and it impresses me because he reads it. He uses articles for class. Even my youngest who is 9 enjoys some of the articles. Of course, their father gets the swimsuit edition!

Apparently they have a company sanctioned scheme: They offer a free 14 issue trial period. All you have to do is cancel it before issue 15 and there is no charge. Or that's what they said. They were, of course, flat out lying. After about 5 issues they charged me $40. I guess they were hoping that, like most people, I would be too busy, tired, or confused to want to wait on hold until someone could help me. I was tired. I had just come home from work, and had to deal with this scam. But I find it totally insulting when another company that I thought was honest tries one of these apparently legal scams. So I called. First, the woman kept on insisting that I'd had 10 issues, though I'd only had SI for 5 weeks. She said some issues are double issues. Some? That would be all! I didn't remember any 'double issues.' And - AND - in any case, even if it were 10 - which I kept repeating, it wasn't - even if it were, I was told I would get 14 free issues, at which point I would have to decide whether to continue. She made it seem as though nothing could be done, it was too late - I'd been scammed by the magazine of my youth! I thought it was amazing that she, a fellow human, would sit there lying to an honest person for a living. Some people have no principles. In any case, I got so upset, she finally decided to reverse the charge, which, obviously she was authorized to do in the first place. I guess the POLICY is to pretend that nothing can be done until the customer becomes irate. Great POLICY, SI! So, Sports Illustrated, that seemingly innocent magazine of yore, the magazine where one can disappear into the happy landscape of sporting drama, runs the same kinds of schemes that email spammers do. Their word is not worth a thing. If allowed they will purposely trick a person into a $40 subscription and then lie to you about it on the phone. This is the type of business chicanery that would have gotten someone tarred and feathered once upon a time. It saddens me to think of all the elderly folks who can't understand such schemes who must get suckered. Or kids. Shame on you, Sports Illustrated! Shame on you, for resorting to lies covered by lies in order to get a few more bucks. You are no different than the athletes who cheat. Shame on you for tricking honest people. Shame on you for making it your POLICY to deceive and for having your operators lie on the phone repeatedly. I will now place you with all of the other schemers and liars. Decent magazine...beware of slimy business tactics!

Hi can't live without it, love, love it!
It is a very informative magazine with great sport write ups. I renew my subscription every year for my husband and I
I've subscribed for over 25 years and still enjoying.
We've been receiving Sports Illustrated for years. My husband wouldn't have it any other way. As long as I can get a good price for it, I keep the subscription going and he stays happy.
I have had this subscription for 30 years and cannot imagine ever giving it up.
THE Authority on sports coverage!
I always enjoy reading Sports Illustrated when I get it in the mail. The articles are interesting, easy to understand and move along quickly because they are well written. This magazine is nearly 100% neutral when they cover stories in the sports world - it is rare to find one that is not neutral. Out of all the magazines I subscribe to this is the one I read all the time and intend to keep it coming to my door. This magazine is well worth getting for your reading pleasure.
My dad will only read Sports Illustrated among US sports magazines, so I continue to renew it each year for him. It's hands down the best sports mag for in-depth, original feature stories, and retains the best veteran sports reporters in the business.
great sports magazine...timely and current...great articles..
I purchased Sports Illustrated as a gift for my dad. He really likes to read about the sports and looks forward to receiving each issue. He cannot wait for the football season.

Sports Illustrated Kids Magazine Subsription Video Review
Hi, I’m Philip. I’m in the 7th grade and I love sports, especially baseball, football and basketball. My favorite baseball teams are the Braves and the Yankees.
I like Sports Illustrated Kids and this magazine helps me know what’s going on with all my favorite teams and athletes. I really like when the pros talk about tips and what it takes to be a star athlete. There are also quizzes and games in each issue that are a lot of fun.
I like that SI Kids magazine also talks about things like setting goals and overcoming challenges. They write about ways to be your best and live a healthy life. That makes me feel inspired cause my dream is to play in the MLB.
I also like the pictures a lot and every issue also has a 2-page mini-poster, sometimes of my favorite athletes. A subscription to Sports Illustrated Kids also gets you some other cool special issues. My favorites are the NFL, MLB and NBA previews. There’s also a double issue with a guide to cool stuff for the holidays and a highlight of the Sportskid of the Year. I really like that another kid gets to be in the magazine.
The magazine is really fun. I really love sports. So if you know a young sports fan like me, I think you should order them an SI Kids magazine subscription from Magazines.com right now. Thanks!
