Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his young apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi aid the Queen of Naboo in an attempt to thwart the invasion of her home planet, and meanwhile discover Anakin Skywalker, a young boy with strong Jedi powers; when political seperatists attempt to assassinate Senator Amidala, Obi-Wan Kenobi tries to find out why, while Anakin begins a forbidden affair with Amidala; Anakin begins a tragic transformation into the menacing Darth Vader when he is torn between his mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi, his beloved Padmae, and the dark powers of the Sith ; Luke Skywalker tries to save his sister Princess Leia from the evil Darth Vader; Luke receives Jedi training from Yoda while his friends are pursued by Darth Vader; Luke tries to bring his father Darth Vader back to the light side of the force, while the Rebel army saves his friend Han Solo from Jabba the Hut.
