I gave up my subscription to STAR last summer, because as I get older, the "stars" that are being written about, sadly, are "stars" that I am not familar with anymore!! I am a child of the 70's (graduated from high school and college in the mid to late 70's), so most of the musicians, singers, groups, actresses, actors in the magazine are not familar to me. I never watch any of the new shows like "GLEE", "Dancing W/ The Stars", "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" (Now THAT is REAL trash!!!!), so it is a waste of my money to get a magazine that I pick up to read and don't have any idea who half of the "stars" are that are written about in the magazine. It really makes me FEEL OLD!
But the magazine had some interesting articles on occasion when it was someone I was familar with like Tom Cruise, Jennifer Aniston, Johnny Depp, etc.
I DO miss "STAR" but I am just a casualty of age and the change in which "stars" and "singers" are now popular!
I really look forward to Star! It is enjoyable cover to cover and always has the most current celebrity news.Star never disappoint so its a weekly treat!
I bought a Star subscription for my grandmother because she always buys this for full retail price at the store each week. It is quite the savings and I also get a kick out of reading it sometimes.
Star magazine has great up to date information you need and want to know about people that are in the spotlight.
I received a subscription to Star Magazine for Christmas. Unfortunuately, I only received three issues -- all sent together. Since I was expecting my subscription I stopped purchasing your magazine. I started buying Intouch since I really expected you to send my subscription. Thank you Star, because of your ineptness, I no longer read Star Magazine. I have switched my loyalty to Intouch. Star offers a lot of up-to-date info. Everyone (guys included) in my household reads it.
Why would you want to publish articles about someone who does not have any morales. Be like Entertainment Tonight. And STOP giving the women notariety. This is all she wants. Someone else to pay her bills. Don't give it to her.

When you think of a celebrity magazine, the glossy that undoubtedly comes to mind for getting the skinny on celebs is Star. Are Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony really still living together? That’s anybody’s guess. But the fact that a magazine was able to track down a guy she worked with on a failed reality cop show almost 30 years ago is absolutely incredible!
Most celebrity magazines play the role of a concerned fan while sharing some star’s pained secret. Not Star! Instead of stating, “Stars: They’re just like US,” as Us Weekly does, Star is happy to call it like it sees it, by saying, “Stars: Are they normal or not?” Hey, we’ve all been wondering the same thing!
Of course, the real reason to buy Star is because it seems to sniff out a story before anyone else. While the world certainly didn’t expect Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kris Humphries to last a lifetime, it seemed rocked by the news that they wouldn’t last ‘til the New Year. Not Star, though. The magazine has been reporting the inevitable demise of the reality TV newlyweds practically since they got hitched August 20th.
Listen, where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire. Star magazine has the uncanny ability to get to the scene of the fire first.
