I have been a subscriber of The Economist for 10 years and I think it is unquestionably the best news magazine on the stands today. The articles and content are first-rate and I don't know why more people don't read it each week. The cost is surprisingly low--$100 a year in Canada--so it's considerably cheaper than your daily newspaper. It is remarkably unbiased in its political views plus I appreciate the fact that they don't run lightweight articles. Subscribing to The Economist is a no-brainer for me.

The Economist subscription

By pb

from North Carolina

The Economist subscription is a great resource to keep you informed. They cut through a lot of the bull you get if you watch a Cable News Network, getting to the actual events instead of the sensationalized story. The articles can be longer than I care for, but at least The Economist doesn't skimp on substance.

Researcher's Friend

By Russ

from Sylvester,Georgia USA

The Economist is an authoritative magazine that covers many sections of business and politics thoroughly. T.V. news covers barely any detail, many magazine gloss over the same topics but this magazine covers cracks and crevices that are often ignored by others but that are critical to understanding anything. I recommend this magazine to anyone who wants to be in the know before all the others get there.

One of the finest world news magazines in print

By Redneck Derek

from Backwoods of SC

All of the so-called news magazines put together (Time, Newsweek, BusinessWeek, etc.) don't equal the information found in one issue of The Economist. If you want real news for your money instead of ad-filled garbage, you'll do good to drop the others and use your savings here. My only gripe is some American opinion-injected reporting is starting to creep into this British-based publication.

Expensive - and worth every penny!

By Veracruz69

from Madison, WI USA

Although it's expensive, The Economist is worth every penny. The Economist takes a middle-of-the-road to slightly conservative view on things, and the articles (especially the cover story article), can be quite long. But the reporting is in-depth, a rare quality in this time of 10 second news bites. It takes a week to slog through everything, but it's worth it!

The Best Magazine You Can Subscribe To!

By Coxie

from San Francisco Bay Area

The Economist is by far the best magazine you can subscribe to if you want a fair and unbiased view of what is happening in the world. The articles are extremely well written, unbelievably current (they must write it as it is being printed), and offer a great balance of home and foreign issues. If you want to expand your knowledge and keep up to date with what is happening globally, economically, and politically then this magazine is without a doubt the way to go!

Rhe global Paper of Record

By Alberta Man

from Canada

The Economist's authority is unrivaled. A copy of the Economist in one's home suggests that one is a sophisticated follower of world affairs. A libertarian or pro-business view can be detected in the magazine, but it may be better characterized as a skeptical and wry observer.

The economist in the car

By bobfromwashingtonstate

from Seattle, Washington State, USA

This is about the Audio edition in MP3 format. It is ideal for listening in the car or on the bus. Great coverage of the entire planet. NO ADS. A good, balanced non-USA view. Do the USA news outlets waste your time? Then this is for you.

The Economist Magazine Subscription Video Review

Hi. I’m Jay Clarke and I wanted to share a few of my thoughts about The Economist Magazine.

As President and CEO of Magazines.com, my days are filled with decisions that affect our company at all levels. Finding ways to grow our business that also correlate with the continued happiness of both our customers and employees is no small task so I’m always looking for great resources to help us along the way.

Free time is not something I get a lot of so I greatly value resources that skip on the fluff and push to provide balanced reporting with in-depth and intelligent analysis and insight on business and financial issues that affect us all.

The Economist magazine is one of the quality resources that I respect and can count on for unbiased and fair reporting on issues that matter to our company. Covering both domestic and international issues relating to business, finance, technology, science, current affairs and even the arts, it really is a great magazine full of useful information.

The magazine’s editorial staff does a great job of reporting the facts on whatever issue they’re covering and I also respect and appreciate that they’re not afraid to take a stand on issues that they clearly state and defend. Equally impressive is that while they can take a stance on a discussion, they are able to at the same time remain meticulously accurate, fair and balanced.

A subscription to The Economist also gives you access to more than a decades worth of articles published since 1997 on their website, as well as access to exclusive audio broadcasts.

If you’re like me and appreciate the value of a trustworthy business and financial resource, then a weekly subscription to The Economist is something that would make a good addition to your continued business, professional and personal growth.

Thank you so much for stopping by Magazines.com don’t hesitate contact us with any questions you may have. We’re always here to help.
