Excellent read

By Cage

from Virginia

I don't live in NY but have enjoyed The New Yorker for about 15 years. The articles cover a wide variety of topics from art to politics, and generally the writing is captivating. Some articles have influenced the national debate on political and economic issues. The poetry isn't as good as it once was, but the fiction's usually worth reading. And cartoons continue to be worth the price of admission. The New Yorker's a lively and informative read.

The New Yorker

By Pumpkin

from U.S.

I've been reading the New Yorker magazine off and on since I was 9 years old. In my opinion, it is one of the best magazines on the market. All the articles are well written and, most importantly, fact checked. They cover a wide range of stories so there are articles of interest for everyone.

Best all-around magazine out there

By tintintoo

from New York City

The New Yorker magazine is the one magazine I have subscribed to for years. It is indispensable for both New Yorkers and those living elsewhere. It's the one magazine that has long and more in-depth pieces on politics, art and culture, and events going on in New York City.

Don't Let the Name Fool You

By Vic Stone

from Augusta, Ga.

My Father subscribed to The New Yorker when I was a kid. It was fun trying to figure out what the cover and cartoons meant. As an adult I didn't pay attention to it for years. When it went online I read some articles that knocked my socks off so I subscribed to the hard copy and am so glad that I did. I always read the political and financial collumns and articles. They are in-depth and put the weekly news and financial magazines to shame. Then there is stuff like building the world's longest tunnel right through the Swiss Alps that I never dreamed would interest me. I limit myself to reading three or four articles a week. I'm sure the fiction is great but I just don't have time. Of course not living near NYC I don't read the local happenings. Yes...the covers and cartoons are still wonderful.

Worth every penny,

By Kate

from Brooklyn ,Ny

I love the New yorker, I've been a subscriber for 6 years. I love it. I love how it adds humor and satires to serious issues with brilliant stories written by brilliant people. It gives me a good laugh everytime i read it, but the jokes are more for the adult mind, it will take a while for a teenager or a child to understand the humor.

The New Yorker Magazine Subscription Review

Hi. I’m Jay Clarke, CEO of Magazines.com.

The New Yorker is one of the most respected magazines in publication. Debuting in 1925, this weekly magazine is well-known for its mix of intelligent writing and sophisticated humor. It’s the kind of magazine that gives you insight and depth to issues and topics where other outlets often just scratch the surface. Some of the most notable sections you’ll find in each issue are “The Critics”, covering music, books, theatre, television and cinema; “The Talk of the Town”, featuring snippets and vignettes about life in New York; and of course, those famous New Yorker cartoons.

In addition to the standard weekly issues, The New Yorker also puts out dedicated issues every year focusing on a specific topic. Some notable issues include food, style, and fiction issues. I want to point out that while the magazine does cover a lot of happenings in New York City, it really is a worldly magazine that does cover stories from all over. The balance the New Yorker finds between humor, hard news, arts, and human interest stories makes it a great addition to any reading list.

We’re always working to make sure you get the best deals on all the magazines you love and the same holds true with the current New Yorker magazine subscription offers available at Magazines.com.
