I look forward to this magazine every month. The articles are beautifully photographed and written. I've used it for inspiration on where to go next, and for a reference once I get there.
For those who criticize the magazine for being only for people who have more money than average, well, yes, that's true. Every magazine addresses a particular audience. This doesn't mean the magazine is bad - it's just not for you. Check out Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel instead. I'm not sure why you subscribed to T&L in the first place. You can pretty much figure out from looking at the cover who the magazine is for, and who it is not for.
I do have money to spend on travel, though not an unlimited amount, and i feel that T&L fits my needs perfectly. The hotel suggestions always have one or two good value options in there in addition to the higher end (nb: good value doesn't mean cheap. This is not Europe on $25 a day. But you do get recommendations for hotels with good facilities, services, & locations in the $100-$200 price range.) The destinations range from the very well known - in which case, they try to take an unusual angle to the story - to the up & coming. It's not for the adventure traveler, but I use other sources to discover places that are truly not on the radar.
In comparison with Conde Nast Traveler, the nearest competitor magazine, I would say that T&L is probably slightly higher end, and less geared towards families. I'm a travel junkie, so I subscribe to both, though I like T&L more because I think it's a nicer design, and I'm not interested in cruises (which CN Traveler features quite a lot). CN Traveler is also a bit more helpful & practical (listings of top travel agents & villa rental booking agencies, the Ombudsman) and T&L is more aspirational/inspirational.

Excellent photos and design. I won't renew and will flip thru it next time I'm in the doctor's waiting room (he can afford these travel recommendations).

It's a great magazine for looking at the beautiful travel destinations, mostly for those who have lots of money to spend on the best resorts and locales to stay in. We can always dream!
This is a great magazine with very good layout. I subscribe to various travel magazines so I can say this one caters more toward luxury travel which for a person like me, who tends to splurge sometimes on vacations, really broaden my knowledge of cool spots around the globe.
I look forward to receiving this magazine every month!! Love it!!
I like Travel & Leisure a lot. It gives you good deals on hotels and resorts and restaurants to eat at. It also gives you information on out-of-the-way places to get away to.

less fact and to much advertisement...
Every month when I get Travel + Leisure magazine in the mail I am reminded as to why I work so hard. Each location is more beautiful and inviting than the next. The sumptuous photos draw me in and before I know it I am planning my next vacation. The only con is the amount of extra work required to pay for the vacation. However, it is always worth it!
I do not plan on renewing my subscription to Travel + Leisure magazine. If you are looking for straight-up tips and deals, this is not the magazine for you. The magazine is geared more towards the wealthy or those that can afford luxurious vacations. The articles often are too long and use showy wording.
Travel + Leisure magazine has exactly the information we were looking for on travel ideas. I feel the advertisers are legitimate. The in-depth articles spark your interest and are informative. We just love to read it. The high end places offer lots of ways to go to them. Much better than being stuck in an undesirable place when it's too late to change.
