TV Guide is a great entertainment magazine with current up to date articles on shows that are on TV. In the past, you could depend on the TV guide to actually find out what is on, but not anymore. I guess since most guides are right on your screen. The articles are short and sweet, so you can pretty much read from cover to cover in 15 minutes, but it's a great read!

Now I hate it. I have had a TV guide in my home for nearly 20 years. I will not renew when my subscription runs out. It's more an intertainment magazine then a helpful TV show guide. If I want to read about the stars I'll buy People Magazine. You should change the name. It's no longer a TV Guide!

A 52 week subcription might get you 30 issues as most are "double" issues. No local listings which applies to the very limited sports information provided. Program listings are often incorrect because most issues are 2 weeks in advance. Featured stories are often found in other magazines, i.e. People, and a very over-hyped on the cover. For me, a waste of time & money.

This is not a guide to TV programming and schedules. It's primarily a gossip/entertainment magazine. Oh, for the old days when the little digest-sized publication provided a comprehensive, 24-hour list of what was on TV! I used to read TV Guide for the programming lists, not the corny articles. Now the list of TV programs is a pathetic afterthought. I won't be renewing this one. Total waste of money -- at any price.

I love because I can always read and decide what I will watch for the coming week. Also, it has reviews of shows that I am planning on watching. There are hardly any ads, and mostly just reading and of course the daily schedules. I would only order through Magazines.Com because they always give you the best prices also.

The magazine used to come every week - they have gone to a double issue-heavy format. So some info is a bit stale by the time week 2 rolls around!

            TV Guide

            By maxdevmac

I am very disappointed in my subscription of TV Guide. Unless you are a 9-5 person your shows are not going to be listed for the times you have to watch tv. Even for the weekend listings there is only evening listings. I would also prefer for all the bonus channels ( HBO, Cinemax, Encore, etc. ) to be listed seperately. It's ok if you have all those channels but I am sure I am not the only person who can't afford all those bonus subscription channels. I do like the way the new shows are shaded in yellow to bring attention to the ones who are not another repeat. Over-all I am very disappointed in my subscription and I would not recommend this one to my friends.

I look forward to getting my TV Guide! I rarely use the TV listings, except when I travel, I take it with me so I know what is on TV. I especially like the preview issues for new seasons or shows. The reviews are insightful, informative, and I mostly agree with their view. A plus is being alerted to cancellations and also weekly ratings of top shows. For me it is a great magazine.

Tv Guide Magazine Subscription Video Review

Hi. I’m TV Guide and Hollywood 411 host Patricia Lopez here to tell you a little bit about what a TV Guide subscription can offer you.

The great thing about the new TV Guide is that it’s much more than just TV listings. TV Guide offers up their top five picks of the week, entertaining letters from hardcore TV viewers, and fascinating polls on today’s most relevant social topics like “Should Donald Trump run for president?” and “What did you think of the royal wedding?”

One of my favorite sections is the TV Insider, which offers the latest scoop on popular shows. The TV Insider might offer up anything from a week in the life of the American Idol contestants to information on what shows are on the bubble and in danger of cancelation.

The actual guide section of TV Guide, not only gives a day by day listing of prime time shows, but there also highlights and behind the scenes pictures. TV Guide even has sections devoted to Daytime TV and sports highlights for the week. Of course no TV Guide would be complete without a crossword puzzle and horoscope. And last but not least, the Cheers & Jeers section helps to sum up all the high points and low points from the previous week in television. Now tell me, can your cable box’s channel guide give you all that?

Magazines.com is always pushing to bring you the best prices on magazine subscriptions and with the current offers on this title you’ll see that TV Guide is no exception. Don’t forget to catch me covering events for Hollywood 411 on the TV Guide channel and follow me on Twitter @patylonglegs to keep up with what’s happening in entertainment and music. Bye!
