I recommend this fabulous interior design magazine to everyone. The photographs and articles are very impressive.
Veranda magazine is always filled with exquisite beauty of English gardens & beautiful landscaping. The interior designs of all the different styles of furniture are a pleasure to view in each magazine.
Veranda magazine is an upscale magazine with professionally written articles, beautifully chosen designs and photos.
I love Veranda magazine for its inspiration and example for using color/texture/furnishings/and layout. However, purchasing items in the magazine is out of reach because of high end price points; but all of the ideas can be applied in principle to lower price points.
Although Veranda magazine is nice, it is a bit too short especially when there are so many home magazines. I would not order again. The price is good though.
I have many times copied an idea -- even if it only a tablescape or floral arrangement, to use in my own home or when designing a vacation home. I keep all copies and refer to them seasonally. I also actually read all of the copy and find the articles accurate and informative. Some home magazines do not coordinate the copy and the pictures, which I think is frustrating, i.e., a long description of a room with no photo. In summary, I LOVE this magazine and have subscribed for probably 20 years.
I have issues of Veranda from years ago! I sometimes pull out a favorite issue such as the Christmas,Spring & Summer issues from way back for inspiration. I don't ever see myself living in a mansion or plantation house unless the lottery comes through but I have definatly taken decorating ideas & put my own spin on them by shopping Ebay,Craigslist,Flea Markets & local Estate Auctions. Veranda reminds me of home too so I always get a warm feeling reading the articles & looking at the pics. Growing up in Charleston,SC was dreamy & I miss that. Veranda sometimes takes me back to those Southern Roots!
