About Wine Spectator
Perhaps Wine Spectator's most well-known section is "The Buying Guide," which contains wine reviews, tasting notes, and prices. The magazine's critics assign a rating value from 50 to 100 to each wine the tasting panel reviews. The higher the number, the higher the wine is rated. In addition, Wine Spectator highlights those wines that are "Smart Buys," highly rated, affordable, and widely available, and "Best Values," similar to the "Smart Buys," but a little pricier. The most extensive section in the buying guide is devoted to reviewing and rating new wines from around the world.
Throughout the year, Wine Spectator publishes several special issues, such as the annual "Wine Lover's Guide" and "The Top 100." The annual "Restaurant Awards Issue" highlights restaurants in all 50 states and around the world that are noted for their excellence in wine selection, cuisine quality, and more.

Wine Spectator Magazine Subscription Review
Hi, I’m Keith from Magazines.com.
I’ve always been a wine connoisseur, so Wine Spectator is the perfect magazine for me. Wine Spectator keeps individuals abreast of the latest developments in the wine and spirits industry, so it’s great for everyone from buyers and business leaders to everyday people like me who just want information about the best types of wines. The magazine has categories for wine ratings, wine collecting tips, new kinds of wines, wine shops, and editors’ picks. It gives me plenty of great ideas and suggestions for new types of wines to try or new wineries to visit.
There are also fun quizzes that test my knowledge of different types of wine. One of my favorite sections is called “Matchmaking,” where a chef shares a recipe alongside a wine recommendation for the meal. It’s a great resource for people like me who love fine dining but don’t have the time to experiment with figuring out which wine goes best with each food item. There’s also a fun section called “Drinking Out Loud” where writers opine about trends in the wine industry.
I also love the articles about the different types of wine available in various regions. If you want to find out more about a nice Merlot from California or a Chenin Blanc from France, this is an invaluable resource. In addition to being a must-have guide to wines and spirits, the magazine features articles about fine dining, travel, entertainment, and the best of the wine and spirits industry. There are articles about winery visits sure to delight any wine lover, such as the Sierra Nevada foothills in California or the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
Wine Spectator adds a layer of sophistication and class to my life. If you or someone who know enjoys wine and wants to stay informed about the latest developments in the industry, Wine Spectator is a great magazine.
