If you like reading about the old west and the guns that won it this is the mag.for you.Great photos well writen articles and useful ads.I wish it was a monthly its that good,I love it!-Gunslinger
bought and paid for this magazine over two months ago and still haven't received the first issue.
I picked up my first copy of the magazine in the grocery...loved it. Then found myself looking for the next issue to come out in three months. Finally, got that one, too. Love the pictures and articles of the old west guns and leather. The ads are also great. Found new places to look for holsters and such. Good job. So now I'm going to subscribe to the magazine.
NOT A 1763 CHARLEVILLE FLINTLOCK. FROM WHAT I CAN TELL FROM PICTURE,IT LOOKS MORE LIKE 1841 MISSISSIPPI RIFLE.BUT OTHER WISE GREAT STORY.
I'm not a CAA but I love shooting guns of this era. Maybe that makes me a wannabe. The articles in Guns of the Old West magazine cover history of the guns and interesting facts of those who shot them. There are technical aspects that are fine for those interested, they cover current and older movies and their level of authenticity, movie stars of old - that's fun to read. I also like the ads as they augment one's interest to see how much to obtain--how to get into CAA and SAA. It's a good read and a lot of fun.
