About Horse & Rider

Since 1961, Horse & Rider has been helping goal-oriented competitive and recreational equestrians improve their riding skills, training and horse care. The magazine's team is made up of avid horse-owning editors, and expert Western trainers, clinicians, veterinarians and equine behaviorists. Each month, they share a range of insights, knowledge and horsemanship skills. Horse & Rider's content covers breeding, Western riding, training, horsemanship, equine tack and equipment, and more!

Each monthly issue of Horse & Rider is divided into the following sections: Features, which covers a range of technique, horse care, riding, accessory reviews and inspirational stories; Your Horse Your Life, a mix of lifestyle, health, horse keeping, equestrian and style articles; and Practice Pen, comprised of lessons, training insights and recommended activities.

Horse & Rider readers look forward to the useful training advice, practical stable-management techniques, hands-on healthcare instruction, safe trail riding practices, informative reports on the equine industry, and behind-the-scenes looks at horse shows and other equine and equestrian events.

Active, passionate, contemporary Western riders and horse owners will enjoy a subscription to Horse & Rider magazine.

    Favorite Horse Magizine

    By Charlie

    from Maryland

If I were to only read one horse related publication it would be Horse and Rider. Although I am an experienced rider I always find something in Horse and Rider that is helpful, not only to me, but for younger riders I might be working with.
