Since 1990, Ladybug magazine has been delighting and affecting young children. Its content is written by some of the world's best children's authors and illustrated by award-winning artists. Ladybug features four recurring stories with charming characters (e.g., Max and Kate) set against a colorful, engaging backdrop. The art and literary publication also contains nonfiction educational articles about nature and culture, and songs, games, poems and activities that help introduce young children to language and reading.
Each Ladybug issue's four regular stories include: "Max and Kate," which chronicles the everyday adventures of two best friends who are the title characters; "Mop and Family," a comic strip that follows the experiences of a brother and sister and their sheepdog, Mop; "Molly and Emmett," which keeps up with Molly and her mischievous cat, Emmett; and "Ladybug, Muddle and Thud," a rollicking trio who play a dual role by appearing in the margins throughout each issue in order to draw young readers into the content. Young children love reading about their friends' adventures! Ladybug magazine accepts no advertising, so stories and illustrations can be enjoyed by parents and young children without additional distractions.
Young children who are ready to open the door to reading will benefit from a subscription to Ladybug magazine.

My daughter loves this magazine! The poems, stories and illustrations are sweet and just the right length. Sometimes there is a fun activity to do as well. The subscription is worth the money!
Overall, Ladybug magazine is a great read. My daughter is 6 and we are probably going to discontinue this and stick with Click (a little older content).
Ladybug magazine continues to be one of my son's favorites--even at age 6 with an extremely advanced reading level (5th grade comprehension). He struggles with attention problems and creativity--so the shorter stories with larger print and bigger pictures give him reading that is enjoyable given his attention problems.
I am enjoying Ladybug magazine with my 2 year old. It's a great to get my toddler started early.
Very lucid stories. Stories introduce different aspects of life, for e.g., social, cultural, emotional... my 4 yr old loves this magazine and is his favorite for bedtime reading.
