About Creative Kids

Creative Kids magazine is the only magazine by kids for kids, ages 8-16. Everything in the magazine is written or created by kids except for the editor's note. Creative Kids was started more than 20 years ago as a publication to support the work of kids across the world. Today, it publishes four quarterly, full-color issues each year, including the super-sized (52-page) issue each summer. The staff includes editors with experience in teaching and working with talented kids, five senior contributors ages 14-18, and an advisory board of 12 students ages 8-16. Kids ages 8-16 can submit work to the magazine. Material may include cartoons, songs, stories between 500 and 1200 words, puzzles, photographs, artwork, games, editorials, poetry, and plays, as well as any other creative work that can fit within the pages of the magazine. Worst Magazine Ever

By informativecraftymother

from United States

this magazine obviously has no idea what real art is. They teach children the only kind of art is drawings and paintings. This magazine refuses to accept the fact that there are many different types of art (like music, photography, poems, etc.) They say they accept children's artwork, a type of 'advisory board' but I'm fairly certain they do not. They're artwork is so stiff and dull I would assume most uncreative adults make the magazine.

A good Magazine for kids

By Becky

from Florida

I subscribed to Creative Kids magazine for my girls when they are younger. It has been around for a long time and I recommend it for my friends with children, especially when they display a special artistic ability.

not a favorite

By not so satisfied

from papelona, new mexico

I did NOT enjoy this magazine, especially my daughter. We both enjoy art and writing and when we tried the magazine together, mostly for her, we did not like it. The covers, ugly, bland, horrible design and bad editing. I would give this 2 stars. So there!
