Bon Appetit has always been grocery store recipes. I preferred Gourmet. Since Gourmet folded last year I have subscribed to Bon Appetit and have found that the substance is improving in the articles.

  • Cons: Time-consuming recipes and ideas

This is an eye candy magazine for me. I have made a few things from it, but a lot of the recipes are time-consuming or call for ingredients that I don't have in the house. I do love the feature that shares restaurant recipes. Overall, I like this magazine for inspiration rather than for actual recipes.

  • Cons: sometimes a little too far out ingredients, difficult to find in ordinary grocery store

Always fun to look at and plan dinners that are different from the ordinary macaroni and cheese family dinners!
